DUI, Theft, Burglary Arrests Reported By Central Bucks Regional Police
Arrests were also made during December for defiant and criminal trespass and forgery with citations written for public drunkenness.
DOYLESTOWN, PA — The Central Bucks Regional Police Department, which covers Doylestow Borough, Chalfont Borough and New Britain Borough, made the following arrests and issued the following citations during December:
December 3
- Center Square Towers, 555 North Broad Street, Doylestown Borough. Cory Michael Harris, 29, no fixed abode, was charged with criminal trespass and defiant trespass after trespassing on private property. Harris was arraigned, bail set at 10% of $5,000, and remanded to Bucks County Prison.
- N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough. A 22-year-old Warrington woman was cited for public drunkenness after police observed her visibly intoxicated, unable to walk, and vomiting in the street on Nov. 18. A citation has been filed.

- Eagle Power Turf & Tractor, 697 North Main Street, Doylestown Borough. Tariq Robert Bennett, 28, of Philadelphia, turned himself in on an arrest warrant for forgery, theft by deception, receiving stolen property and identity theft. Bennett fraudulently purchased a Kubota tractor on October 11. He was arraigned, bail was set at 10 percent of $25,000 with restrictions, and he was released.
December 6
- Park Avenue, Chalfont Borough. Jack Arturo Coller, 22, of Chalfont, was charged with DUI, fleeing an officer and other charges after police observed him operating a vehicle with a suspended license and suspended insurance. When police attempted the vehicle stop, Coller accelerated at a high rate of speed alluding police. Police proceeded to Coller’s home address and found the vehicle parked on the roadway, against traffic, in front of the residence. Coller was taken into custody with a subsequent legal blood draw at Doylestown Hospital. He was arraigned, bail set at 10 percent of $50,000 and remanded to Bucks County Prison.
December 7

- Swamp Road and North Street, Doylestown Borough. Sean McLaughlin-Turner, 27, of Eddystone, was charged with DUI, operating without ignition lock and other charges following a traffic stop for tail lights not operational during a time of day when required. Turner possesses an ignition interlock license and was driving a vehicle that was not equipped. He presented with bloodshot eyes and a strong odor of marijuana. Turner agreed to a search of the vehicle where illegal substances and paraphernalia were found.
December 9
- N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough. Jason Myres, 50, of Doylestown, was cited for public drunkenness after police observed him having difficulty walking. Myres presented with a strong odor of alcohol and slurred speech.
December 11
- Logan Street, Doylestown Borough. Two juveniles were charged with the theft of a Mazda CX30 taken from a residence on Logan Street and later recovered in Warwick. Juvenile allegations have been filed.
December 12
- N. Broad Street, Doylestown Borough. Three juveniles were charged with thefts from vehicles for entering three vehicles on N. Broad Street and stealing items. Juvenile allegations have been filed.
- 205 E. Butler Avenue, Chalfont Borough. Police were dispatched to Gianni’s Pizza on December 12 at approximately 12:05 a.m. after the owner was alerted to a man inside the closed restaurant. Police found Walter Wright, 45, no fixed abode, in the restaurant’s kitchen. The establishment was in complete disarray with food, drink and trash scattered throughout. Following review of surveillance footage, it was determined Wright entered the store through the front door during the early evening hours of Dec. 11. Wright was arraigned, bail set and he was remanded to Bucks County Prison. He has been charged with burglary, criminal trespass, criminal mischief and drug violation.
December 13
- C&N Bank, 60 N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough. Jakyn Powell, 20, of Philadelphia, was taken into custody on an arrest warrant on December 13 for forgery, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property. On June 26, C&N Bank cashed a fraudulent check in the amount of $1,752.52 and gave the cash to Powell. The original check, in the amount of $52.52, was altered and made out to Powell. In November, C&N Bank brought their closed investigation to the Central Bucks Regional Police Department for criminal charges against Powell. Once all investigative material was confirmed, a subsequent arrest warrant was issued on December 12. Powell was taken into custody when he appeared before court on other charges in Montgomery County on Dec. 13. He was transported to CBRPD, arraigned, bail was set at $15,000 unsecured and he was released.
December 15
- S. Main and W. State Streets, Doylestown Borough. Jacob Daniel Lauch, 22, of Churchville, was charged with DUI following a traffic stop for front headlights not operational during a time of day when required. Lauch presented with bloodshot, glassy eyes and an odor of alcohol. He failed field sobriety tests and subsequent blood draw was obtained at Doylestown Hospital.
December 17
- 110 S. West Street (construction site), Doylestown Borough. Christopher Christian Jones, 22, no fixed abode, was charged with defiant trespass after police responded to a complaint of trespassing on private property. Jones was arraigned, bail set at 10 percent of $5,000 and he was remanded to Bucks County Prison.
December 23
- Washington Street, Doylestown Borough. Colin Baker, 22, of Doylestown, was charged with DUI following police response to a two-vehicle collision. Baker presented with an odor of alcohol and balance issues. Baker failed subsequent field sobriety tests and was transported to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood draw.
December 26
- Bauman Crane, 85 Bristol Road, Chalfont Borough. Richard Jay Winiewicz, 46, of Plains, was charged with writing bad checks after providing a check with insufficient funds to pay for crane services that were delivered in June.
December 27
- Lamp Post Road, New Britain Borough. A juvenile was charged with DUI following a traffic stop for speeding. The juvenile presented with a strong odor of marijuana. The juvenile failed field sobriety tests and was transported to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood draw. A juvenile allegation was filed.
December 30
- ACME Markets, 480 N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough. A juvenile was charged with retail theft after stealing a case of Black Cherry White Claw. A juvenile allegation was filed.
December 31
- Station Taphouse, West Ashland Street, Doylestown Borough. A juvenile was arrested for burglary, criminal trespass, theft and other charges after officers responded to a burglary in progress. The rear glass door of the establishment was smashed and several bottles of liquor were stolen from the bar area. During a search of the surrounding area, stolen bottles were found and the juvenile was taken into custody. The juvenile appeared to be visibly intoxicated with glassy bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Medical clearance was obtained and the juvenile was remanded to Bucks County Youth Center. A juvenile allegation has been filed.
