2 Found Dead In Buckingham Township Home

Police said they found notes written to family members with directions on how to handle the estate and burial.

BUCKINGHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — An elderly couple was found dead Monday morning at their home in Buckingham Township.

Township police responded to the Buckingham Springs development at 1490 Durham Road just before 8 a.m. after a man called police and said he had shot his wife.

Upon arrival, police attempted to reach the home by phone, but there was no answer. Officers then approached the house and found a note taped to the door. The note included directions for police to contact a specific family member.

Upon entering the house, police found an 88-year-old man deceased with a single gunshot to his head. In the rear of the residence, police found an 85-year-old woman, also deceased with a gunshot wound to her head.

Police said they found notes written to family members with directions on how to handle the estate and burial. There was no forced entry to the house and nothing appeared to be missing, police said.

Police are not releasing the names of the homeowners until all family members can be notified.

The case is under investigation by the Buckingham Township Police and the Bucks County Coroner's Office.
