Why are you running?

I have long been passionate about public service. I see serving another term as Doylestown Township Supervisor as a way to continue serving my neighbors and positively impacting our community. Before I earned my seat as Township Supervisor, I looked for ways to give back to our community and help improve lives. I served on the boards of non-profits and contributed to projects such as the renovation of Kids Castle. During my first term, I led the initiative to make our supervisor meetings more accessible by advocating for meetings during after-work hours. I sat on our committee to plan the future of our parks and open spaces and helped ensure a greener future for the township by supporting environmental initiatives. Our police department has my support for better equipment and training and has achieved accreditation. Even after accomplishing so much in my first term, there is much left to do to secure and improve the township, and I am ready to keep working.

What are the top issues facing the township and how do you plan to address them?

Infrastructure: I am proud to have approved an analysis of all the township-owned roads and our Accelerated Road Plan. Now we plan to tackle the most degraded roads and improve roads into the future. This is one of many examples of how proper planning and funding can benefit the lives of our neighbors for years to come.

Environment: During my first term, I spearheaded the Green Points ordinance, giving financial incentives to utilize green building methods. I also support the Township’s participation in the Ready for 100 initiative that commits the township to 100 percent renewable energy by 2050. This will ensure that environmental impacts are considered in every township project. I plan on approaching every project in the township with that goal in mind.

Fiscal management: We must ensure that we have enough funds to provide services to our residents while balancing our budget. As a CPA, I understand this. I will work to ensure that the Township's strong financial standing continues while supporting our quality of life.

What background/knowledge will you bring to the table?

As the only incumbent, I am the singular candidate with on-the-job experience. I have spent the past 6 years as liaison on some of the most influential committees, including the Finance Committee, Planning Commission, Park and Recreation, and the Environmental Advisory Committee. My experience on these committees has given me a deeper knowledge of the issues of the township. Before my time on the Board of Supervisors, I worked for a CPA firm that serviced non-profits, governmental entities, and small businesses. This gave me insight into government finances and the needs of small business owners.
