Questions

1. Why are you running?

As a longtime resident of Doylestown, I’ve enjoyed so much of what our township has to offer: great walking/running trails and cycling roads; the pool at the YMCA; 5K races; great civic groups and wonderful neighbors. I love this township and our lovely community of neighborhoods. I'm running for supervisor to pay it forward with continued civic engagement. And I'm running to make sure our residents receive the township government services they expect and deserve.

2. What are the top issues facing the township and how do you plan to address them?

My campaign with township supervisor Jennifer Herring is about "building bridges," and that’s more than just talk. I’d love to see more community involvement in some of our volunteer committees. These committee help the township with plans and ideas that benefit everyone in our community. Working together on a project is a wonderful thing. And it really does build bridges.

It's also important to continue to meet the needs of our community by investing back into our infrastructure and services. These includes maintaining quality roads; having recreational facilities and activities that residents can enjoy; giving our police force the training and tools to do their jobs, (this includes maintaining accreditation); and addressing the water and sewer needs of the Township.

3. What background/knowledge will you bring to the table?

I am the most qualified candidate seeking a new seat on the township's board of supervisors. I have deep business background and a rich history of community engagement that will contribute to my success as a supervisor. Fiscal management and security are my top skills set, as a have served as a consultant in both residential and business security. My background also includes working on a team in a collaborative process. This means all ideas are heard and considered. My volunteer background in Doylestown includes teaching decision making skills to incarcerated individuals, and as a volunteer with the Buck County Medical Reserve Corp. Twenty-five years ago, I started my own small business, which is still open today under new owners. I am currently on the board with my Homeowners Association.
