1. What are the top issues currently facing your position and how do you plan to address them?
The primary objective of County government is to provide the best possible service to the taxpayers. Currently, with a COVID-era work-from-home policy still in place not all staff members are available in person. Telephone calls are not answered by a staff member, you must leave a voicemail.Customer service and compassion must be a priority to help our constituents navigate the unfamiliar process of probating an estate while distraught. In addition, I will bring attention to detail and fiscal accountability back to inheritance tax collection.
2. Identify specific goals or ideas you have to enhance life in your position:
When you are interacting with the Register of Wills office, most often it is while grieving the loss of a family member, friend or loved one. During this difficult time, you deserve to have a positive experience with your county government. I believe I have the background, dedication and unique perspective to provide that experience and best serve you. This is equally the case in happier times such as when seeking a marriage license, adding to your family through adoption. I am running for this office because I truly believe I am the most qualified to provide the people of Bucks County with the level of service, care and compassion they deserve.
3. What in your experience or background prepares you for election to office?
The people of Bucks County deserve someone who will serve full-time as their Register of Wills, working each and every day to provide the type of quality and accessible service that we should expect from our elected officials. My five years of experience in the Register of Wills office has given me the background required to serve you in this new role. However, just as important to my success is my attention to detail and commitment to excellence for myself and my colleagues. A prime example is that during a routine audit of the Register of Wills office during my time there, the Pennsylvania Auditor General made special note to say that “Robyn’s records are superb”. This is the level of service I will bring with me as our next Register of Wills.
