Questions
Why are you running?
I love Doylestown because of the people, the history, and the outstanding quality of life. I was born in Poland and came to this country with my family at the age of one. Living in Doylestown, working here, and raising my own family here is my American dream, and I want to use my life experience and skills to give back to my community. As township supervisor, I want to do my part to help keep Doylestown a wonderful, affordable and safe place to live for all families. During the pandemic, I saw what can happen when local government steps out of its lane and tries to insert itself into every aspect of our lives, and becomes overly politicized. It was disappointing, for example, to see Judy Dixon join in an email from Doylestown Democrats calling for the firing of Bucks County Health Director Dr. David Damsker. As a supervisor, she is supposed to represent all of Doylestown, and not get involved in issues beyond her responsibility to the taxpayers. We need new leadership for our community.
What are your top issues and how do you plan to address them?
As your supervisor, I am committed to serving the taxpayers and delivering real transparent results on safety and fiscal responsibility. The Board of Supervisors will appoint a new Chief of Police in October 2024. We urgently need someone who is ready on day one and who knows how to combat the increase in crime. I’ve been endorsed by Bucks County Sheriff Fred Harran, who recently gave a press conference declaring that public safety needs to be the top priority in Bucks County and that the safety of residents is not a priority with the current democrats in charge.
Unfortunately, I feel the current supervisors have not done enough to keep our families safe. The soft-on-crime attitude taken by elected officials like Jenn Herring is simply not working for Doylestown. We’ve all heard the stories about fireworks being set off inside of Kids Castle, and a parent and child who were injured by long screws that were stuck in the slide. These are minor examples, but they speak to a larger rise in the kind of crime and reckless behavior that needs to be addressed. Taxpayer dollars need to go toward our police department having more resources and hiring more officers to protect the township.
What background/ knowledge will you bring to the table?
My husband Sean and I chose to raise our three children in Doylestown because it is a beautiful place to live and offers great schools and a wonderful community. I self-funded my degree in Law & Justice from Rowan University. My professional background is in real estate development and contracts and I also worked in pharmaceutical clinical research managing, creating, and negotiating contracts and budgets. Doylestown taxpayers work hard for every dollar, and they must be confident that their taxes are being spent wisely. I understand the issues important to parents and families on a budget. I bring a voice to the table that represents ALL families. I understand that every decision made by the board of township supervisors directly impacts our daily lives, how our community thrives, and the financial impact on our wallets. I will be the pitbull on the board that will make the safety of our kids the #1 priority and eliminate irresponsible spending.
