Election 2023 Results: The Race For The Central Bucks School Board

DOYLESTOWN, PA — There were no surprises in Tuesday's Primary Election as 10 of the 11 candidates vying for five seats open seats on the Central Bucks School Board will be moving on to the November election, according to unofficial results.

The stage appears to be set for the Democrats - Karen Smith (Region 1), Heather Reynolds (Region 2), Dana Foley (Region 3), Rick Haring (Region 5) and Susan Gibson (Region 8) - to face Republicans — Stephen Mass (Region 1), Dana Hunter (Region 2), Glenn Schloeffel (Region 3), Aarati Martino (Region 5) and Tony Arjona (Region 8) — in November's General Election.

Schloeffel is projected to have won the three-way GOP primary race in Region 3. He won 73 percent of the vote over cross-filed Democrat Dana Foley and his Republican challenger Patricia Carman, according to unofficial results.

While all candidates were cross-filed, meaning they appeared on both the Democratic and Republican ballots, none managed to pull off an upset by winning on both ballots.

Here are the results, which are unofficial until they are certified by the Bucks County Board of Elections.

• Heather Reynolds - 1,377 votes - Projected Winner

Republican (Vote for 1)

• Dana Hunter - 1,185 votes - Projected Winner
• Heather Reynolds - 329 votes

Central Bucks School Board (Region Three)

Democrat (Vote for 1)

• Patricia Carman - 111 votes
• Glenn Schloeffel - 81 votes
• Dana Foley - 1,653 votes - Projected Winner

Republican (Vote for 1)

• Patricia Carman - 114 votes
• Glenn Schloeffel - 1,233 votes - Projected Winner
• Dana Foley - 335 votes
