Star Wars Reads Day is a national event that celebrates reading and Star Wars. It was created by Lucasfilm and its publishing partners--Abrams, Chronicle Books, Dark Horse, Del Rey, DK Publishing, Random House Audio, Scholastic, Titan Magazines and Workman.
This is the first time a group of publishers have worked together on such a massive event. There are over 1000 Star Wars Reads events across the country--and each one will be unique. Our local event may include: the latest Star Wars books—for everyone from kids to adults, author appearances, costumed character appearances, Star Wars-themed crafts, trivia contest, raffles and exclusive Star Wars Reads Day giveaways.

Other Details:
- Participants are encouraged to wear Star Wars Costumes.
- We will have Star Wars Reads books to raffle off.
- 25 SWRD exclusive pins to give away, Wookie tattoos, 1-2 Star Wars posters, and SWRD postcards.
- Cyborg Comics is donating goodie bags full of super cool stuff.
- There are 200 locations that will have costumed characters, we might be one of them. The characters choose their location based on geographic convenience.
