"Extreme-Value" Grocery Store Opening Soon At Warwick Square
Renovations are underway to convert part of the former Giant market space into the new grocery store known for its "big savings."

WARWICK, PA — The Grocery Outlet is on track to open in late February at the Warwick Square Shopping Center, according to the store’s owners Bill and Starla Lohr.
Renovations are underway to convert part of the former Giant market space into the new “extreme-value” grocery store known for its “big savings on brand-name products."
The owners have been keeping the public up to date on the store’s progress via its social media postings, which have included videos showing the conversion of space into the newest Grocery Outlet.

“We'll have bargain prices on fresh products like organic produce, quality cheese, specialty meats, as well as gluten-free, natural, and organic items in our NOSH section,” writes the owners. “Plus, we have all the staples like milk, meat, and eggs! We source our products opportunistically, which means that you save 40 to 70 percent."
The new store is also looking for help. It has available positions for produce lead, deli/meat lead, grocery lead/receiver, cashier, health and beauty/general merchandise lead, frozen lead, and merchandiser. Apply online at groceryoutlet.com/careers.

Warwick Square has been without a grocery store since the Giant store relocated to the Doylestown Pointe Shopping Center. The former Giant Market space has been divided into two separate units with the Grocery Outlet leasing 25,191 square feet and Planet Fitness leasing the remaining 25,289 square feet.
During the pandemic, the former Giant store was used temporarily by Bucks County as a vaccination center for COVID-19.
Based in Emeryville, California, the Grocery Outlet has more than 400 locations in California, Idaho and the Pacific Northwest and in the Mid-Atlantic including Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland.
The store offers a full range of products including fresh produce, meat, deli and dairy, along with a wide assortment of natural and organic choices. It also carries health and beauty care, as well as seasonal items, the company says.
The Warwick Center, located on York Road near Almshouse Road, is owned by Jacksonville, Florida-based Regency Centers. The center is also home to Randazzo Pizza, Sherwin-Williams, Hallmark, Citizens Bank, Captain Chucky’s Crabcake Co., Wild Ginger II, and more.
