Fanny Chapman Pool to Mark its 86th Season

Doylestown's pool is preparing for another summer swim season.
Fanny Chapman Memorial Pool will kick off its 86th season on Saturday, May 25, 2013, borough officials announced recently.
A fixture in Doylestown's summer traditions, the pool offers family and individual swim memberships, swim lessons for all ages, and swim and dive teams. A pool membership, whether family or individual, is required to participate is Fanny Chapman Pool programs.

A family membership is $380 before May 5, and $420 after. Individual memberships are $210 or $225. Additional rates are available for students, seniors and caregivers.
Mail in registration begins Monday, March 18. Registration forms may be downloaded here and sent to Fanny Chapman Pools, 10 McKinstry Dr., Doylestown, PA 18901

In person registration begins at the Fanny Chapman Pool office on Saturday, April 27 from 1 pm to 5 pm.
New this year, the pool also will offer online registration beginning Monday, April 1, 2013. Check back to the borough's website after that date.

Named after the favorite aunt of leading Doylestown citizen William Mercer, the Fanny Chapman Memorial Pool opened on June 21, 1927. Renovations and expansions over the years have added several additional pools, allowing the complex to change and grow with the community.
