Fire Crews Knock Down Sizable Brush Fire In Bedminster

BEDMINSTER TOWNSHIP, PA — A brush fire scorched another patch of woodlands Saturday afternoon, this time in Bedminster Township.

The Bedminster Police Department, along with the Dublin Volunteer Fire Company, were dispatched at 4 p.m. to investigate the report of a brush fire in the 100 block of Smith School Road. A sizable fire was located, police said.

Numerous fire companies were called to the scene to assist including Hilltown, Silverdale, Sellersville, Perkasie, Quakertown, Plumsteadville, Doylestown, Point Plesasant and Haycock.

Crews brought the fire under control and remained on the scene to ensure that any hot spots were extinguished.
