Fire Crews Battle Large Mulch Pile Fire In Warrington
Firefighters and tanker crews were called to the scene Sunday evening and again on Monday for a mulch fire.

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Firefighters from throughout Central Bucks County and nearby Montgomery County were on the scene of a large mulch fire on Monday that ignited Sunday evening and reignited Monday morning at a bulk supply site in Warrington Township.
"Avoid the area if possible and expect smoke in the area for a prolonged period of time," firefighters from Warrington Fire Company No. 1 and Warrington Emergency Services posted on Facebook Monday morning.
Numerous tanker trucks and all-terrain vehicles were called to the scene. Also responding was Squirt 93 from the Hartsville Fire Company, Engine 19 and UTV79 from the Doylestown Fire Company No. 1 along with numerous other companies from Central Bucks and nearby New Jersey and Montgomery County.

Eagle Fire Company's Tanker 46 was one of many tankers called in to help fight the fire over the past 24 hours. Tanker 46 responded Sunday night just after 9 p.m. hauling multiple loads of water to the scene before being released at around 4 a.m.
On Monday morning around 10:40 a.m., fire crews were dispatched back to the scene with tankers hauling multiple loads of water again to help suppress the fire.

Between Tuesday night and Monday, New Hope Eagle reported that its Tanker 46 made approximately 30 round trips from the designated tanker fill site to the fire scene, bringing in 4200 gallons of water each time.
Fire apparatus and crews who worked throughout the day were relieved by fresh personnel at 5 p.m. on Monday with Tanker 46 back in quarters by 6 p.m. Units from Bucks, Montgomery and Mercer County responded to the incident.
One person reported on Monday that smoke from the fire could be seen from the Shops at Valley Square.
Another reported it being "quite smoky" on Folly Road. "I could see the smoke from County Line and 611," they wrote on Facebook.
