Firefighters Battle Gas-Fed Building Fire In Plumstead
Crews from Plumstead, Doylestown and surrounding companies worked to contain the fire, which shut down Route 611 for hours.

PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA — A gas-fed fire heavily damaged a building Thursday afternoon in the 6100 block of Easton Road and closed down Route 611 for hours between Kellers Church Road and Applebutter Road.
Emergency responders from multiple departments were called to Electroline Corp. around noon for a reported fire.
The fire ignited after a utility pole and transformer fell toward the building, striking the gas meter and rupturing the gas line. The transformer ignited, and escaping natural gas fueled the fire.
