Firefighters Battle Multiple Brush Fires Over The Weekend In Bucks
The largest fire ignited on Saturday along the border between Hilltown and New Britain townships near Peace Valley Park.

HILLTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Firefighters in Central and Upper Bucks battled numerous brush fires over the weekend, the biggest of which ignited on Saturday along the New Britain and Hilltown Township border.
Multiple agencies responded to the area just to the north of Peace Valley Park to assist Hilltown with brush fires on Skunk Hollow Road in Hilltown and on Upper Stump Road in Hilltown and New Britain townships.
Ten engines, 6 tankers and 7 field/brush trucks responded to the area from Bucks County and nearby Montgomery County including Hilltown, Chalfont, Warrington, Doylestown, Midway, Towamencin, Richlandtown, and others.

Hilltown reported responding to four calls on Saturday in the township for brush fires and reignited brush fires.
Crews were initially dispatched to Keystone Drive followed by several calls in the area of Skunk Hollow and Upper Stump Roads.
“It was a very full day and our members certainly put in the work,” the company posted on Facebook. “Please remember before you decide to burn that your actions may have consequences for our first responders and their families. Our region is receiving rainfall today, but conditions will still remain on high alert for fire. Great job to all companies that assisted on these large calls this weekend!”
The Midway Volunteer Fire Compamy responded to the Hilltown fires with Tanker 5 and Field 15. Richlandtown sent Tanker 36. Towamencin brought in Tanker 76. And Doylestown No. 1 responded with Engine 19 and Utility 79.
Warrington’s Engine 78 also assisted with the multiple brush fires in Hilltown and New Britain. They also responded to three brush fires of their own in Warrington.
