Firefighters Knock Down Truck Fire On Route 202 In Warrington

When firefighters from Warrington Emergency Services arrived, they found a trailer on fire and the tractor safely removed from the rig.

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Firefighters from Warrington Township quickly knocked down a tractor-trailer fire on June 20 just after 3:30 p.m. on Route 202 at Bristol Road.

When firefighters from Warrington Township Emergency Services arrived, they found a trailer on fire and the tractor safely removed from the rig by its driver.

Police shut down traffic on 202, and given the high temperature that afternoon and the unique challenges of fighting the fire, Station 78 requested assistance from Montgomery Township Squad 18, firefighters said.

Engine 29 established a water supply from a nearby hydrant that provided enough water to extinguish the blaze.

There were no reported injuries and the roadway was reopened in just over an hour.
