First-Ever Bucks County 'Eat, Drink And Be Merry' Month Just Days Away
Restaurants and bars across the county are prepping for the month-long fundraiser benefiting the Kin Wellness Center.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — The start of Bucks County's first-ever "Eat, Drink and Be Merry Month" is just days away and participating restaurants are prepping their menus for the event.
Set to run from August 15 through September 15, patrons throughout the community will be able to order a designated appetizer, entrée, drink, or dessert from participating restaurants and bar partners while benefiting the Kin Wellness and Support Center.
"People can eat, drink and be merry while both supporting local businesses and our cancer community at Kin," said Kin founding member and executive director Keith Fenimore.

Patch caught up with one of the participants, Mike Christou, whose family owns and operates Ardana Food and Drink in Newtown and Warrington, KC Prime in Warrington, and Ardana Pizza Co. in Warrington. All four of their eateries will be participating in the summer fundraiser benefiting cancer patients and their caregivers.
Christou said throughout the month-long event, his eateries will be donating 100 percent of the proceeds from designated appetizers and desserts.

"We will be creating a seasonal appetizer and a seasonal dessert not on our regular menu," said Christou. "At your table, our servers will pitch the back story about 'Eat, Drink and Be Merry' and that 100 percent of the proceeds from the appetizer and dessert will benefit local cancer patients and their caregivers," he said.
"Everybody has known someone who has been affected by cancer. What Keith and Kristina (Fenimore) are doing at Kin is making a serious difference in people's lives. Anything we can do to help them do that is great. And I hope the community comes out and helps us do that for Kin."
Christou said participation in the fundraiser "was a no-brainer. We will be doing what we normally do. We're cooking food and it just so happens that certain menu items will go toward Kin," he said.
Ardana Food and Drink (Newtown and Warrington) is an upscale casual restaurant inspired by the vibrant flavors of the Mediterranean. KC Prime is a high-end traditional steakhouse with a menu featuring everything from prime steaks and fresh seafood to Happy Hour bar fare.
"It's great to see so many restaurants hopping on board," said Christou. "A lot are involved, which is great. Eat, Drink and Be Merry is going to be a great way to sample what Bucks County has to offer in terms of the diversity of its restaurants and bars while also supporting a very worthwhile cause."
Throughout the month, Patch will be spotlighting participants and letting patrons know where they can sit down and enjoy a delicious meal while supporting Kin Wellness.
The "Bucks County Eat, Drink and Be Merry Month" has a dedicated webpage at www.welcometokin.org where participating locations can be found with a logo and a hyper-link to their business.
