First Sunday Celebration To Be Held This Weekend In Doylestown

Come to town Sunday for the second 'First Sunday' celebration, which will showcase local businesses and feature family fun.

If you're around this holiday weekend, come over to Doylestown Borough for the second First Sunday celebration, which will begin at noon.

The family-friendly arts focused event will give people a chance to experience a variety of local artists, who will share their talents throughout the participating businesses in town, with participating businesses in September donating a portion of the day’s sales to fight pediatric cancer, according to organizers.

The event will feature everything from plein air painters to face painters, and from arts and crafts for kids to live music for moms and dads.

All events will take place within or in front of participating businesses from noon to 4 pm.

During September's event, participating businesses will donate a portion of sales for that day to the Michael Napoleone Memorial Foundation (www.michaelshope.org) - created to give back to those who cared, to give forward to those in need, and to support research efforts in finding a cure for childhood cancer.
