Fitzpatrick Leads Bipartisan Effort To Recognize National Night Out

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Bucks County Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-1) joined Congresswoman Norma J. Torres (CA-35) this week to reintroduced their bipartisan resolution designating August 6th, 2024, as National Night Out.

For nearly four decades, Fitzpatrick said National Night Out "has thrived through the unwavering dedication of communities across the nation. The impactful event is a cornerstone in building strong partnerships with first responders and fostering unity within neighborhoods."

By bringing communities together, Fitzpatrick said it plays a crucial role in enhancing the relationship between law enforcement and residents. With more than 38 million neighbors in more than 16,000 communities nationwide participating, National Night Out stands as a testament to the power of collective action and community spirit.

"Here in Bucks and Montgomery counties, like many communities nationwide, we recognize the vital importance of fostering healthy relationships with the hero first responders who serve and protect us,” said Congressman Fitzpatrick (PA-1). “In PA-1, we are fortunate to have some of the finest men and women in Blue, who dedicate their life to safeguarding our residents, while working to further strengthen community-police partnerships through events like National Night Out.
