Juvenile Charged In Armed Robbery Of Warrington Gas Station: Police

Police said the suspect smashed the glass front door with an object and displayed a knife to the clerk.

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A juvenile has been charged with robbery, burglary, and possession of an instrument of crime after police said he held up a township gas station and convenience store early Monday morning.

At 2 a.m., police responded to the Sunoco APlus at 580 Easton for the report of a knife-point armed robbery that had just occurred.

Police said the suspect smashed the glass front door with an object and displayed a knife to the clerk. The suspect then jumped the counter and stole several items before fleeing east on Street Road, police said.

The suspect was dressed in black, was wearing a facemask, and was carrying a backpack.

Responding officers caught up with the suspect on Street Road and ordered him to stop, police said. The suspect then led police on a foot chase westbound on Street Road. The suspect was apprehended on Street Road near Paul Valley Road.

While running from the police, police said he discarded his backpack, which was eventually recovered. The stolen items and the knife used in the robbery were found as well as the mask he was allegedly wearing during the robbery.

The juvenile was charged with robbery, burglary, possession of an instrument of crime, criminal mischief, theft, and evading an officer. He was ordered detained at the Bucks Co. Juvenile Detention Center.
