Flyers Alumni and YMCA Support Military Veterans

Philadelphia Flyers Alumni Association presents YMCA of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties $10,000 to support the Y's Veterans Wellness Initiative

DOYLESTOWN - Philadelphia Flyers Alumni and YMCA of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties staff gathered at the Y’s Doylestown branch the evening of Monday, April 4 to announce their new partnership to support military veterans. The Flyers Alumni Association is partnering with YMCA of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties to help veterans achieve healthy mental, physical and spiritual lifestyle habits, and presented the Y with a $10,000 check to support the Y’s Veterans Wellness Initiative.

Flyers alumni Brad Marsh, Paul Holmgren and Bob “the Hound” Kelly were on hand to present the check and help lead young YMCA players in a ball hockey game. Over 20 recent graduates of the Y’s Veterans Wellness Initiative also took part in the festivities and showed their appreciation to the Flyers Alumni organization.

Brad Marsh, president of the Flyers Alumni Association shared details about one of the Flyers Alumni's marquee fundraising events, the Inaugural Flyers Alumni Run.Walk.Stroll. The Run.Walk.Stroll will benefit the YMCA of Bucks County Veterans Wellness Initiative as well as Flyers Alumni charitable efforts. The Run.Walk.Stroll takes place on April 23 at the historic Washington Crossing State Park in New Hope at 10 AM.
