Fonthill Castle Beer Fest Set For Aug. 29

More than 25 local and regional breweries will be in Doylestown for the second annual event.

Drink beer near a famous castle next month at the Fonthill Castle Beer Fest.

The second annual event will be held Saturday, August 29 from 2-5 p.m. at Fonthill Castle, East Court Street and Route 313, Doylestown.

“The afternoon beer tasting will feature high quality drafts from more than 25 local and regional breweries paired with locally sourced foods. Guests will also enjoy music by the jazz quartet, Hot Bijouxx,” according to organizers.

Participating breweries include: Appalachian Brewing Company, Bold Rock Hard Cider, Chaddsford Hard Cider, Doylestown Brewing Company, Erie Brewing Company, Evolution Craft Brewing Company, Flying Fish Brewing Company, Goose Island, Great Lakes Brewing Company, Great Swamp Brewing Company, Harpoon Brewery, Keegan Ales, Leffe, Long Trail Brewing Company, Magic Hat Brewing Company, Round Guys, River Horse Brewing Company, Shock Top, Starr Hill Brewery, Stella Artois, Stoudts Brewing Company, Troegs Craft Brewery, Victory Brewing Company, Wynridge Farm and Yards Brewing Company.

Tickets are $45 per person and $25 for designated drivers. No alcohol will be served to designated drivers.

First Tap VIP tickets include admission to the event one hour before the general event and exclusive access to the Draught Lines Lounge for select brews.

Parking on the grounds is free. All guests must be 21 years of age or older and have a valid ID. No children or pets will be admitted to the event. Proceeds from the event support education programs at Fonthill Castle.

Fonthill Castle, Henry Mercer’s amazing concrete castle home, boasts 44 rooms and 18 fireplaces. The interior walls, floors and ceilings are elaborately adorned with an incredible array of Mercer’s original handcrafted tiles.
