Former Bucks Man Charged With Drug Delivery That Resulted In Death

SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —William R. Wright of Kutztown and formerly of Springfield Township, Bucks County, was arrested on June 18 following a lengthy investigation by the Springfield Police Department and Bucks County detectives.

Wright was arrested on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges including drug delivery resulting in death, criminal use of a communication facility, manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, involuntary manslaughter, and intentional possession
of a controlled substance by person not registered.

The case stemmed from a death investigation at the Scenic View Apartments in Springfield almost two years ago. Officers and detectives investigated the circumstances and evidence surrounding a death, ultimately leading them to launch an investigation resulting in the arrest of Wright.

Wright was arrested, arraigned, and sent to Bucks County Prison in lieu of $750,000 bail. He has a preliminary hearing scheduled for July 1.
