Fraud, DUI, Rifle Stolen, Weapons Offense: Pennridge Regional Police Report

The Pennridge Regional Police Department released its weekly incident report covering a range of incidents.

SELLERSVILLE, PA — The Pennridge Regional Police Department responded to 161 incidents between Feb. 7 and 14, including 20 traffic citations and warnings.

Investigations included a fraud incident reported by a resident in the 300 block of Beechwood Drive. A credit card was used to make more than $1,000 in unauthorized purchases at a Michigan pizza parlor and on the Fanatics website. The bank placed a hold on both transactions.

Another fraud report from a resident in the 200 block of Crest Drive involved nearly $500 in Costco online credit card purchases, which were subsequently refunded.

On Feb. 10, a business owner in the 3200 block of State Road reported the theft of an AR-style rifle valued at $1150 from a warehouse common area. On Feb. 12, officers investigated a retail theft at Lovely Lady Bug Consignment in the Glenwood Shopping Center, where an unknown man left without paying for a shirt and pants valued at $50.

Pennridge Regional Police also investigated a weapons offense after Pennsylvania State Police reported an individual prohibited from purchasing firearms attempting to do so at American Arms and Ammo.

Several arrests were made during the week.

A 46-year-old West Rockhill man was cited for harassment on Feb. 10 following a disturbance at his home, where his adult son was injured during a scuffle.

A 41-year-old East Rockhill resident was cited for harassment after striking and scratching a man at her home on Lenape Drive.

A juvenile allegation was filed with Bucks County Juvenile Probation for a student found with a THC vape pen at Pennridge High School.

A 25-year-old Doylestown resident was arrested for DUI and related charges after a January 24 traffic stop on Ridge Road revealed a blood alcohol concentration nearly three times the legal limit.

Officers also responded to several traffic accidents with no reported injuries. These included incidents on Feb. 9 at Bethlehem Pike and Ridge Road, and on Bethlehem Pike near Anna Lane.

On Feb. 10, a collision occurred on County Line Road when a Ford Taurus pulled out from Barndt Road, and an International box truck struck a parked GMC SUV at Landis Supermarket.

Other accidents were reported on February 11 at Rt. 313 and Ridge Road, on February 12 on Ridge Road near Schoolhouse Road, on February 13 at Bethlehem Pike and Highland Drive, and on February 14 in a parking lot at 1720 Ridge Road.
