Fred Beans Auto Group Announces $20K Pledge to Red Cross
Funds will support Red Cross educational programs for children and youth in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
Fred Beans Automotive Group has been approved by the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit program (EITC) to contribute $10,000 a year over the coming two years to the American Red Cross of Southeastern Pennsylvania for youth education programs.
For the first time, Fred Beans is donating to the Red Cross through the state’s EITC program. The Southeastern Pennsylvania chapter will receive $10,000 a year to deliver educational programs to children and youth, including disaster preparedness, CPR and first aid, HIV/AIDS and STI prevention, and school violence and bullying.
The regional programs directly benefit more than 5,000 children and youth through the various types of engagement. These include Red Cross clubs in more than 20 area schools, career exploration through the nurse assistant training program, scholarship and internship opportunities, first aid and CPR certification, leadership development and youth-led community outreach and service-learning.

The state’s EITC program provides tax benefits to companies that donate to educational programs in their communities. Both the donor and the recipient are vetted for approval in order for the donor to receive the special tax credit for its gift. Fred Beans has been involved in the program for several years. The Beans organization is known for its philanthropy to initiatives for education, children and families.
