Free Summer Show For Kids This Thursday In Doylestown

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Looking for an indoor activity for kids during the heat wave this week?

The Doylestown Borough free Summer Shows for Children series continues Thursday, July 18 with a performance of the children's play "Toad's Escape." The show will be at Doyle Elementary School starting at 10:15 am.

According to a plot summary:

"J. Thaddeus Toad races across stage in his marvelous motorcar. In the spite of the efforts of his sensible friend, The Mole, the rambunctious amphibian continuously drives himself into calamity after calamity. Ultimately The Mole prevails and Mr. Toad learns the error of his ways, promising to be a wise and humble toad - until the next trip!"

Admission is free. The show is sponsored by Covenant Bank and coordinated by Doylestown Borough Parks and Recreation.
