An online fundraiser has been started for a young Bucks County girl who is battling brain cancer.
Teresa Sensinger, 7, of Perkasie was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer, in May, according to a GoFundMe page set up to raise money for mounting medical bills. Surgery was attempted, but due to the tumor’s location, total removal was not possible, the page says.
"Her surgery had left her with some physical deficits, but her positive spirit was unwavering. By August, Teresa was able to come home from the hospital just in time to celebrate her seventh birthday with family and friends. Through the summer and fall, her doctors continued with the most aggressive treatment options possible to prevent the reoccurrence and spread of the cancer cells," the page says.

But by the fall of 2017, the tumors had not only returned, but grew. A follow-up scan in January revealed several new tumors extending down her spine. Her last course of treatment was completed in late February, loved ones said via GoFundMe.
Devastatingly for her family, her latest scan showed the tumor was now wrapped around her brain stem and there was nothing more that could be done. She is expected to return home under hospice care, where she can be surrounded by her family and loved ones, the fundraising page says.

Due to mounting medical bills and out-of-pocket expenses not all covered by insurance, the family is in need of donations to alleviate the financial burden. "Every little bit helps and no contribution is too small," the page says.
