Giant Opening New Doylestown Store Friday, April 5

The new Giant store, located off Rt. 611 where Redner's once was, has announced its opening date. The store will sell beer and wine, too.

DOYLESTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Giant will open its store at the former Redner's on Rt. 611 in Doylestown Township on Friday, April 5.

The store will open its doors at 8 a.m. A ribbon cutting is planned for 7:45 a.m.

The new location replaces Giant's current store located at 2395 York Road, Jamison, which closes for business on April 4 at 6 p.m.

As part of the grand opening celebration, the first 200 customers in line will receive a reusable shopping bag, a six pack of GIANT English muffins and other grand opening savings.

The 56,000-square-foot supermarket will be open from 6 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week.

According to the supermarket chain, approximately 50 additional full- and part-time jobs have been created, bringing the total number of associates at the store to 180.

The new store will feature an expanded produce department, which will include a variety of organic selections, in-store cut fruit, and a full salad bar.

There will also be a full-service deli with a selection of grab and go meals, including salads made on site; a full-service meat and seafood department offering USDA Prime; Nature’s Promise meats, a full-service bakery; and a full-service floral department.

Plus, the store will have a Beer & Wine Eatery offering a variety of beer and wine selections. The new eatery seats 30 and will be open Monday – Saturday, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
