This year's Exemplary Teen Volunteer Scholarship was awarded to Harshil Jain, a North Penn High School student who contributed 332 volunteer hours to Doylestown Hospital’s Patient Transport, MRI, Same Day Surgery, and Well Bean Café. Harshil will be attending the University of Pennsylvania on a pre-med track.
“We want to thank everyone who had a hand in helping to make this much anticipated annual event such a profound success,” said Jim Brexler, President and Chief Executive Officer of Doylestown Health. “This event brings local businesses, donors, and friends of Doylestown Health together for camaraderie, but most importantly, to invest in critical hospital needs, programs, and services; as well as support the continued success of amazing teen volunteers like Harshil,” Brexler added.
Established in 1991, the Golf Classic has raised nearly $2 million cumulatively in support of multiple services and programs at Doylestown Health, including the Cancer Institute, critical care medicine, the Emergency Department, MRI services, the Wound Care Center, and the VIA Maternity Center.
