Grand View Health honored veterans with a special tribute event on Veterans DayFriday, Nov. 11.
Veterans Day is celebrated on Armistice Day and is dedicated to American veterans of all wars. Grand View Health will recognize and extend gratitude towards our brave military men and women who selflessly defend our freedoms.
The tribute began at 10:30 a.m. at the flag pole next to the main entrance of the hospital, located at 700 Lawn Ave., Sellersville.
The event was led by President and CEO of Grand View Health Jean M. Keeler, and included prayer by Pastor Doug Henning, First Baptist Church of Perkasie, music by Big Red Brass Ensemble from Souderton High School, The Witting Tree led by Roger Kessler and veterans of our Armed Forces, and “Taps” performed by Quinn Shamberger of Pennridge High School.

"We are grateful to all of our veterans and active duty military, some of whom are Grand View staff, physicians and family members," Keeler said. "This is a special day dedicated to them, and we invite the community to join us in honoring their brave service and sacrifices."
The Witting Tree was a somber tribute to those 20-22 military men, women and Veterans who commit suicide each day.
