Here's Today's Tip... 3 Tips To Lower Your scores Immediately!

Keep your focus on these three tips to get your game on track and lower your scores, guaranteed!

Know when to keep your driver in the bag. It’s easy to get in the routine of pulling out your driver on every single hole you play, but often times that’s not the best idea. Even top tour players can get into trouble with their drivers, and that’s why you’ll see them pull out 3-woods or hybrid clubs on lots of tee boxes. Before you tee it up just think - what is the reward that extra 30 or 40 yards of distance going to get me? Is it worth the risk of having to take a 2 shot penalty if I hit a banana that ends up OB? Usually the answer is no.

Know your distances. It amazes me how many golfers don’t have a good grasp on the distance that each of their clubs goes on a normal swing. If this sounds familiar it’s time to head out to the driving range and do some homework. Hit a few balls with each club and make mental notes. Your irons should have 10 to 15 yards in-between them - if you notice gaps that are much larger you might want to talk to your local pro and have them check your set out.

Aim for the middle of the green. This is one tip that I’m sure every golfer has heard, but very few actually put to use (except for the pros). It’s also a tip that many players misunderstand. You see, playing to the middle of the green doesn’t mean playing sloppy. When the pros do it they still take dead aim by selecting the smallest blade of grass or tiniest spot of turf they can find, and then focusing on landing their ball right on top of it.
