I mean...chipping is such a short little swing...it should be easy right???
If you’re tired of embarrassing moments and want to stop CHUNKING your chips just give this simple drill a try next time you’re out practicing.
Stop CHUNKING your chips with this simple drill:
First, grab your favorite wedge and pick a target 5-10 yards away. Then rest your left hand on your left thigh. This helps position your shoulders properly and stabilize your body.
Now, holding your wedge in your right hand only practice hitting some golf balls toward your target focusing on the following fundamentals:
- Keep your grip pressure light and your arm relaxed so you can feel the weight of the clubhead as it swings back and forth.
- Allow the club to release naturally and accelerate past your body
- Finish with your belt buckle facing your target
Practicing these one-handed chips for just a few minutes every time you’re at the driving range will help develop better feel, better rhythm, and eliminate those dreaded CHUNKS.
Helping you get the golf swing and game you've Always Imagined!
