Here's Todays Tip... The Tee Box
Tee shots can often be either huge confidence builders or sources of extreme frustration.

With the golf season right around the corner let's focus on 4 basic tips that will help you improve your performance on the tee box and start you on your way to a great round of golf.
1. Align your mind for the right results.
Often times golfers step onto the tee box thinking about where they DON'T want their ball to go. Your mind is the most important thing in your "bag". So if you think, “don’t hit it in the lake” the only thing your subconscious hears is, “hit it in the lake.” To avoid this problem, focus on the outcome you WANT instead of the one you don’t. Positive thoughts, tend to lead to positive results.

2. When you tee up your ball favor the side of the hole with the most trouble.
While this may sound like a dumb idea, it’s actually a smart play used by many top players. Think about it -- if there is a huge lake on the right side of the hole, and you tee up your ball on the right side of the tee box -- when you line up you will almost completely cut the lake out of your view. Try it and you’ll know exactly what I mean.

3. Make sure your stance isn’t limiting your performance.
The golf swing starts from the ground up, and that’s why it’s so important to make sure your stance is appropriate for the shot you’re trying to hit. When you’re on the tee you want to make sure that you have a nice wide stance for stability, however a stance that is too wide will limit your hip rotation and cause serious swing flaws. A good rule of thumb is to line up the outside of your shoes with the outside of your shoulders.
4. Take dead aim.
When you are lining up your drive aim at the smallest possible target you can find. Whether it is a tiny tree branch or a stripe of the fairway, the more specific you are the easier it is for your brain to execute the shot.
Always remember, little things like these 4 basic tips... will add up to playing better golf.
