High-Friction Resurfacing Scheduled On 202 Parkway in Warrington

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur.

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA —High-friction resurfacing operations will begin Monday on U.S. 202 in Warrington Township.

Work is expected to begin on Monday, Oct. 7 and continue through Friday, Nov. 22 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday to Friday. Motorists can expect alternating lane closures with flagging on Route 202 between Route 152 (Limekiln Pike) and County Line Road.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

The work is part of a $4.9 million project to install High-Friction Surface Treatment (HFST) on several state highways across Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties, to provide increased friction and grip on pavements in wet and dry conditions.
