Homeowner Restrained While Burglars Ransacked Hilltown Home: Police

According to police, three men saying they were with the sheriff's department stole two handguns in home invasion.

HILLTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — A Hilltown Township resident was restrained while burglars ransacked his home during a home invasion on May 25.

The incident happened at a home on Reliance Place in the Green Meadows community.

The victim told police that three men entered his home after identifying themselves as from the sheriff's department. At least one of the men was armed with a handgun, police said.

The men restrained the victim's hands behind his back and had him lay on the floor, police said. They then proceeded to ransack the house, stealing numerous items including two handguns registered to the homeowner, police said.

The victim was not harmed during the incident.
