Hundreds Expected At Doylestown's March For Our Lives

Organizers say there are hundreds of students planning to participate in Saturday's March For Our Lives in Doylestown.

Students across Bucks County are preparing to participate in a March for Our Lives this weekend in Doylestown.

The March for Our Lives Doylestown, a student-led, peaceful demonstration, will be held Saturday, March 24. The goal, according to organizers, is "to unite our community to reduce gun violence and to center student voices for safety in our schools and communities."

Hundreds of students plan to join together in a symbolical march to push for common sense gun laws and policies.

The March for Our Lives Doylestown will begin at Central Bucks High School West at noon. The march will go through Doylestown to the old Bucks County Courthouse, where a student-led rally will take place.
The rally will include student speakers, voter registration, slam poetry, chants and more.

Earlier this week, organizers said they had more than 200 confirmed attendees and 600 interested, "with the numbers growing rapidly as the date of the March nears."

The March for Our Lives Doylestown is being organized by Bucks Students Demand Action, a newly formed, student-centered group of students from all across Bucks County.

More than 15 students are leading the group. Leaders have met with their school administrators, Congressman Fitzpatrick and have joined other gun violence prevention student advocates on delivering letters to State Senator McIllhinney and Rep. Quinn, according to organizers.
