A judge has ruled that there is a causal connection between a Bucks County’s man 14-hour workday, including heavy physical labor, and his fatal heart attack, according to a report in The Intelligencer.

Robert Dietz was 48 when he suddenly died in November 2007 while employed at the Lower Bucks County Join Municipal Authority in Bristol Township, per the report.

Dietz was a field maintenance manager at the public water authority for 20 years for the public water authority, a job that involved hard labor and long workdays, the report states.

A judge reversed a original denial of Dietz’s wife’s compensation claim, which, under federal law, awards her 60 percent of a worker’s wages and up to $3,000 for burial expenses, per the report.
