Pettine, who was a coach at Central Bucks West for more than three decades, died suddenly, according to reports.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reported Pettine suffered a fatal heart attack while golfing with friends near his winter home in Florida.

As coach, Pettine had a record of 326-42-4 in 33 seasons and led the team to four PIAA state titles, according to the Inquirer. He also enjoyed a 55-game winning streak in the 80s.
