Local Businesses To Host Exhibits During Doylestown Art Week

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Local businesses are preparing for Doylestown Art Week, which will be held Sept. 2 -8. The week will culminate with the 28th annual Doylestown Arts Festival on Sept 7 and 8.

As part of Doylestown Art Week, several local businesses will host displays by local artists. Exhibits will include a mixture of live art, small shows, collections, and more.

Businesses such as the Doylestown Bookshop, dtown tech, Raymer's Candies, Starbucks and more have already announced their plans for exhibits by local artists.

Some highlights include:

• dtown tech presents Doré Vorum: Local artist Doré Vorum will be exhibiting some of her acclaimed ‘essence’ photographic works at dtown tech, 17 E Oakland Ave.
• Doylestown Bookshop presents Jay McPhillips: Doylestown Bookshop will have local artist Jay McPhillips' art on display beginning on Sept. 5. On Sept. 7 at 6:00 pm, there will be an Arts Fest kick-off event.
• Posh Hair Design presents Bridget Warne: Posh Hair Design will feature the work of landscape artist Bridget Warne.
• Raymer's Candies presents Mike Maney: Raymer's will have the work of Mike Maney on display for Art Week and the Doylestown Arts Festival.
• Starbucks presents David Ohlerking: Starbucks of Doylestown will feature the work of local artist David Ohlerking.
• Mind Your Design presents Doylestown Architecture: Mind Your Design will feature a series of illustrations from their Doylestown Architecture and related works during Doylestown Art Week.
• Shaving Grace Barbers presents Jordan Spector: Local sports artist (recent designer of the Philadelphia Eagles billboard that was placed in Maine thanks to Philly’s Super Bowl 52 win), Jordan Spector, will have his work proudly displayed on canvas at Shaving Grace Barbers.
• Rutherford’s Camera Shop presents Ashley Rutherford: Doylestown native Ashley Rutherford will be displaying her work in Rutherford’s Camera Shop.
• Impact Hair Design presents Doylestown Music Fest Photography: Impact will be featuring photography of local musicians from Doylestown Music Fest.

The annual Doylestown Arts Festival features 160 juried artists, live music on five stages, local food vendors, live art and interactive demonstrations.

The festival will be held on Sept. 7 and 8 from 10am-5pm each day.
