Local Students are Semi-Finalists in B101 Christmas Choir Competition

Excitement will fill the icy winter air this Wednesday, December 4th, at Tamanend Middle School in the Central Bucks School District. The school in Warrington, PA will hear their 8th Grade Chorus on the radio as a semi-finalist in the K-8th Grade division of the 2024 B101 Christmas Choir Competition. Their recording of “Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!,” arranged by Pentatonix, will be played on 101.1FM a little after 7:00am Wednesday morning and again at 10:30am and 1:30pm. This is not the first time Tamanend's 8th Grade Chorus has been on air for the Christms Choir Competition. Their tendency to record vocally-driven, modern arrangements of classic holiday tunes has nabbed them a place in the semi-finals several times in the last decade. If they win Wednesday’s semi-final, they will move on to the Finals on Thursday, a feat that past years' groups have failed to achieve.
