Longtime Camp Neumann Assistant Director Passes Away At 61

James M. Trauger Sr., a longtime resident of Doylestown who served as the Assistant Director of Camp Neumann in Jamison, has passed away.

James M. Trauger, Sr., longtime resident of Doylestown, died Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Doylestown Hospital. He was 61.

Raised in Bucks County, he was the devoted and proud son of the late Herbert and Josephine Trauger. He had a gregarious personality and enjoyed spending time with friends. Although, he was an avid golfer, his family was the center of his life and he loved his grandchildren immensely. Having helped to raise them, he was happy to be such a large part of their lives.

For over 20 years, Jim was involved with Camp Neumann in Jamison, PA. He raised his boys on the property and eventually became the Assistant Director of the camp. He continued to live there until the camp closed in 2005.

James will be missed by his sons and daughter-in-law, Matt Trauger and Pat and Brittany Trauger; his grandchildren, James III, Josie, Kevin and Karly; his sisters, Patty Lamb and Kathy Butrica; his niece and nephews and his Camp Neumann family.

Family and friends are invited to his visitation on Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 9:30am until his prayer service, 11:30am at the Joseph A. Fluehr, III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, PA 18901. Interment will follow at St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Camp Jamison, 3131 Fairfield St. Philadelphia, PA 19136; or to theTravis Manion Foundation, PO Box 1485 Doylestown, PA 18901.
