Looking to make a difference?!  Join our team at CBFYMCA teaching water safety and swim skills to individuals with disABILITIES/special needs.

Flexible part time hours including weekday evenings and Saturdays.  Benefits include Adult membership to CBFYMCA, Red Cross Certifications.

Minimum requirements: 

18 years of age;Water Safety Instructor or YMCA Swim Instructor Certification;Comfortable teaching all swim levels including beginning/water adjustment skills through advanced skill development and refinement; Degree (completed or in progress) in fields including Special Education, Social Work, Adapted PE, Recreational and/or Physical Therapy;Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Strong communication (both written and oral) and organizational skills, team leader, self-sufficient, ability to take initiative when needed; ability to work with other staff and volunteers, enjoy working with individuals with developmental challenges (mental and / or physical challenges).
