Man Arrested With Shopping Cart Full Of Stolen Items In Warrington

Police have charged the man with one count of felony retail theft and one count of receiving stolen property.

WARRINGTON, PA — An Ottsville man faces felony theft charges after Warrington Township Police found him pushing a shopping cart filled with merchandise from seven stores in the township and two stores in Montgomery County.

On April 6, police responded to a theft in progress at the Wine and Spirits store on Easton Road. Police were informed that a man had left the store without paying for a bottle of alcohol.

After dispatch advised responding officers of the man's description, the man was found and apprehended near the BJ’s parking lot on Easton Road, police said.

Police recovered the bottle of alcohol and took Matthew Foulke, 38, into custody. He was charged with one count of felony retail theft and one count of receiving stolen property.

When he was arrested, police say Foulke was pushing a shopping cart full of merchandise. A subsequent investigation found that the items had been stolen from BJ’s, WalMart, Petco, Joann Fabrics, Target, and Lowes in Warrington.

Also recovered was stolen merchandise from Dicks Sporting Goods and Rally House in Willow Grove.

The stolen items were worth more than $750, police said.

Foulke was processed and released to the Bensalem Township Police Department on an outstanding felony arrest warrant.
