Man Arrested In Stolen Car, Cashier Charged With Theft In Plumstead
In other reports, a man told police that his ex-wife started an argument and began destroying his Halloween decorations.
PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Plumstead Township Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests between Oct. 22 and Oct. 27.
October 22
- At 11:17 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop for a stolen vehicle on Alder Drive. Gregory Caddell, 31, of Chester was arrested for receiving stolen property. Cadell was processed and arraigned. The case remains under investigation.

- At 2:32 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Giant on Swamp Road for a theft. When officers arrived, they were met by a store representative who told police they had witnessed a store employee reach into the register and remove money. When the complainant questioned the employee, the employee admitted to stealing more than $200. The complainant also mentioned that she had video surveillance of the employee stealing the previous week. Officers arrested the 25-year-old woman from Upper Black Eddy who was processed and charged.
October 25
- At 8:55 a.m., officers responded to Landisville Road for a theft report. The business owner told police that their business sign, “Camp Curiosity,” was removed from the property during the night. The estimated value for the sign is $3,000. The incident remains under investigation.
October 26

- At 10:48 a.m., officers responded to Captain Molly Circle for a verbal domestic in progress. Prior to officers arriving, the ex-wife had left the scene. Officers arrived and spoke with the homeowner who said that his ex-wife showed up at his residence and started an argument and proceeded to destroy his Halloween decorations. Officers informed the homeowner that if she returns to contact the police.
- At 11:22 p.m., officers responded to Durham Road for the theft of a political sign. The officers met with the complainant who told police that he placed an air tag inside the sign after the others had been stolen. The air tag was pinged at a local residence but there was some time between the theft and the ping. When the officers spoke with the homeowner and the homeowner told police that he had no knowledge of any signs being at his residence. Officers cleared without incident.
October 27
- At 2:45 p.m., officers responded to the Plumsteadville Pub for a customer who left and didn’t pay the bill. The officers were provided with a description of the suspect and were able to locate him. Officers explained to the man that he needed to pay bill and officers transported him to his house to retrieve the money. The Pub told police that they no longer wanted the suspect on the property, which was relayed by the officers to the suspect.
- At 7:45 p.m., officers were dispatched to Summer Meadow Drive for a domestic. When officers arrived, they spoke with the husband who stated that he and his wife got into a verbal argument. The officers were able to de-escalate the situation and both parties agreed to separate for the night.
