Man Assaulted With A Chair In Plumstead: Police Reports
Police also investigating an incident at a township grocery store involving a gift card scam.
PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Plumstead Township Police Department reported the following incidents between March 13 and 16:
March 13
- At 3:12 p.m., officers received a complaint from a business owner about an individual who continually calls and harasses one of her employees. The officer contacted the individual and asked them to stop calling and barred them from the property. Police also warned the individual that if their actions continue, charges could be filed.
- At 6:08 p.m., officers responded to a business on Durham Road for an assault complaint. When the officers arrived, both parties were separated by staff. The officers talked to an injured staff member who said that he was assisting a customer when the customer picked up a chair and hit him over the head with it causing an injury. Officers arrested a 45-year-old man from Pipersville and charged him with simple assault. He was processed, arraigned, and sent to Bucks County Prison.

- At 9 p.m., officers responded to the Giant grocery store on Easton Road for a fraud complaint. When officers arrived they met with a store employee who said an unknown man started removing gift cards and replacing them with cards he had in his jacket. Officers were provided with surveillance footage. The case remains under investigation.
March 16

At 3:50 p.m., officers received a phone call from a man who said he had been assaulted at a bar. The man told officers that he was at a bar when another patron started making comments and that a verbal altercation turned physical. In speaking with witnesses, the officers determined that both parties involved confronted each other which resulted in only a verbal argument.
