Man Charged With Aggravated Assault By Warrington Police

The man has also been charged with simple assault, providing false ID to law enforcement and Driving Under the Influence.

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A Warrington Township man faces charges following an aggravated assault on May 10 at K Street and Cambridge Lane.

Dylan Joseph Jones, 19, was taken into custody by Warrington Township Police and charged with aggravated assault (F2), simple assault (M2), false ID to law enforcement officer (M3), and Driving Under the Influence (M).

Police were called to the scene at 5:11 a.m. When they arrived, a man told police that after he provided a ride to a woman walking along Bristol Road to K Street and Cambridge Lane he was conformed by Jones, the woman's boyfriend, who began yelling.

The victim told police that Jones then physically assaulted him and then got into his truck. Jones then ran into the victim's car several times, pushing it over a curb, the victim told police.

When police located Jones a short time later, Jones provided officers with a false name. Police said Jones also exhibited signs of intoxication. He was placed under arrest and transported to the station where he was processed.

Jones was arraigned by Judge Wertman who set bail at $15,000 or 10 percent cash. Jones was unable to post bail and was transported to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
