Man Charged With Aggravated Cruelty To Animals In Plumstead

The felony charge stems from his involvement with a cockfighting ring, which was broken up by police in February.

PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA — A 49-year-old Doylestown man has been charged with aggravated cruelty to animals for his part in a recent cockfighting ring broken up by township police in February.

Manfid Duran was arrested on an outstanding warrant on March 3 at 10:27 p.m. during a traffic stop on Swamp Road.

Police had issued a warrant for Duran's arrest for his involvement with a Feb. 21 cockfighting ring. Further investigation revealed that he was driving with a suspended license and with no valid insurance or registration on the vehicle.

Duran was processed and arraigned and was transported to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
