Man Charged With Criminal Trespassing Following Incident In Warrington

Police said the man climbed through a window and fell asleep inside a building's community room.

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A man who crawled through a window last Friday to grab some shut eye at the Westminster Apartments left the building in police custody.

The incident happened on Sept. 13 in the 600 block of Valley Road when a man climbed through an open window and fell asleep in the building's community room. He was placed under arrest and charged with criminal trespassing and defiant trespassing.

The man was arraigned by Judge Wertman who set bail at $50,000 or 10 percent cash. He was not able to post bail and was transported to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.

Earlier in the week, the same man was charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property for an incident at the Wegmans store.

Police responded to the store for the report of a man smoking marijuana inside the store. The man, however, had left the store prior to police arrival.

While reviewing video surveillance, police observed the man selecting several items and concealing them upon his person. He failed to pay for the $15.78 worth of merchandise that he had concealed.

A non-traffic citation was filed at District Court for retail theft and receiving stolen property.
