Man Charged With Threatening Neighbor: Warrington Police Report

Police also make arrest in domestic dispute, cite Furlong woman with retail theft and charges man with scratching a vehicle.

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Police reported the following incidents and arrests between Oct. 14 and 19:

October 14

  • A Chalfont man has been charged with possessing instruments of crime, criminal mischief and harassment for an incident that happened on September 19 at LA Fitness. Police said a 36-year-old man was seen intentionally scratching another member's vehicle with his keys. A witness told police they saw the man commit the act and captured a photo of the man with his vehicle. When confronted by the witness, the man shoved the witness. Damage to the car has been estimated at $3,461.81. The man turned himself into police on October 14. He was processed and arraigned before Judge Wertman who set bail at $25,000 unsecured.

  • A Warrington man faces multiple misdemeanor charges after police said he threatened his neighbor in the 2300 block of Tabatha Drive. Upon arrival, the victim reported that the neighbor had placed a knife in a fence to threaten them. The victim also told police that the man had made numerous threats to harm their neighbor's dogs and had been harassing them for an extended period. Upon investigation, officers observed a butcher knife stuck in the fence, along with multiple strikes from the knife on the fence. The 69-year-old man admitted to placing the knife in the fence to threaten the neighbor. As officers interacted with the man, he exited his residence and yelled threats and obscenities at the neighbor. The man was placed under arrest while continuing to make threats to harm the neighbor. He was processed and arraigned by Judge O'Neill, who set bail at $50,000 or 10 percent cash. The man was unable to post bail and was transported to the Bucks County Correctional Facility. He is charged with terroristic threats, possessing instruments of crime, simple assault, criminal mischief, harassment and disorderly conduct.

October 19

  • A 26-year-old Warrington man has been charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct for a domestic disturbance in the 2800 block of Highland Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located the victim in a neighbor's driveway. The investigation revealed that the Warrington man had gotten into an argument with a family member. During the altercation, the man threw an object at the victim, striking them in the back of the head. The victim attempted to flee, but the man struck them again in the eye. When the victim tried to flee once more, the man pushed them down, knocking off their sandals. Additionally, the man broke the victim's glasses, police said. The kitchen area was found to be in disarray, and officers discovered that the man had written offensive words on the kitchen cabinets using a marker. The man fled the scene before police arrival but was located shortly after and taken into custody. He was transported to the police station for processing and subsequently arraigned by Judge Peranteau, who set bail at $50,000 or 10 percent cash. The man was unable to post bail and was transported to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.

  • A Furlong woman has been cited with retail theft for an incident on Oct. 20 at the Wegmans store. Loss prevention told police that they had detained a 60-year-old woman after she selected $95.81 worth of merchandise and concealed it in her purse. Police were told that the woman had made a small purchase and then exited the store without paying for the concealed items. The woman was placed under arrest and transported to the police station where she was processed. She was cited for retail theft and released.
