Man Drowns Rescuing 2 Children At Bucks County Lake: Coroner
Rescue crews responded to the lake around 4:45 p.m. in the area of Mountainview Drive in Haycock Township.
NOCKAMIXON TOWNSHIP, PA — A man drowned after rescuing two children on Thursday at Lake Nockamixon in Haycock Township, according to the Bucks County Coroner's office.
Marvin Alexan Fernandez Chicas, 37, was pronounced dead after his body was recovered from the lake Thursday evening.
Rescue crews responded to the scene around 4:45 p.m. to an area of the lake located off Mountainview Drive in Haycock Township.

The coroner's office reported that Chicas "disappeared in the water following his rescue of two children who were swimming and appeared to be in distress."
Bucks County Coroner Meredith Buck confirmed the cause of death as drowning following an autopsy Friday morning. The death was also ruled accidental.
