Man Faces Felony Retail Theft Charges In Warrington Township

The man is accused of filling up a duffle bag with merchandise and exiting a township store without paying.

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A 39-year-old man faces felony theft charges after police say he stole merchandise from the Walmart store at 299 Valley Gate Drive.

Police responded to the store at approximately 8:10 a.m. on Christmas Eve morning for the report of a retail theft in progress. Loss prevention told police that a man filled up a duffle bag with merchandise and exited the store without paying for the concealed merchandise.

Police located the man, later identified as Bruce Allen Burrell, walking towards Easton Road. Burrell was placed under arrest. A duffle bag containing $222.84 worth of merchandise was located a short distance away, police said.

Burrell was transported to the station and processed. The 39-year-old man was charged with felony retail theft and receiving stolen property. He was sent to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
